Q: How does voting work?

OpenCircle uses $OCL tokens for transparent, community-driven decision-making:

  • One token, one vote: Each $OCL you hold gives you voting power—more tokens means greater influence in each decision.

  • Open proposals: Any member with enough $OCL can propose an idea, policy, or change for the community to consider.

  • Simple voting process: When a proposal goes live, all $OCL holders can vote 'Yes', 'No', or 'Abstain' within the set voting period (usually 3+ days).

  • Fair, visible results: As soon as voting ends, results are public for all to see and the outcome is implemented by the DAO.

  • All voting is viewable live: no secret ballots, no hidden rules. If you’re ever lost, just ask—our guides and Discord helpers fix it live.

Note: You’ll need to connect your wallet holding $OCL to participate in votes. Step-by-step support is always available—just ask in our Discord or Telegram!

Q: Is this safe? Who holds the funds?

The DAO treasury and even personal/founder support funds are tracked for everyone to see—no pooled secrets, no risk of “rug pulls.”

  • Treasury protection: All major community funds and $OCL tokens are held in a secure multi-signature wallet (also called a “Safe”). No single person can move funds—multiple trusted admins must approve every transaction.

  • Fully visible on-chain: Every treasury action is recorded on the Polygon blockchain and viewable by anyone, at any time.

  • Open, auditable contracts: Our smart contracts and governance rules are public and open-source—nothing is hidden or controlled in secret.

  • Community power: Key spending decisions require a community vote. No funds can be spent without clear approval by $OCL holders.
